Some maple syrup with that waffle, Kerry??

Today when Kerry seemed to state that our armed forces are comprised of uneducated hopeless young men and women. His first explanation was that he was talking about George bush, but this information would seem to nullify that  line of thinking.

"In 1999, The New Yorker published a transcript indicating that Bush had received a cumulative score of 77 for his first three years at Yale and a roughly similar average under a non-numerical rating system during his senior year.

Kerry, who graduated two years before Bush, got a cumulative 76 for his four years, according to a transcript that Kerry sent to the Navy when he was applying for officer training school. He received four D’s in his freshman year out of 10 courses, but improved his average in later years."  source Vaconsevative.com

Either he was completely disrespectful of Americas finest or telling a flat out lie.

YES, WE WON THE WAR IN IRAQ !

Actually, the battle of Iraq was won pretty early on. ...It's the aftermath and rebuilding that we are engaged in now and it is questionable whether we are winning or not. In the early stages of the war Saddam's national army was soundly defeated within a few months. The enemy we are dealing with now is a completely different mixture of combatants.

My regret is that the administration hasn't drawn this distinction and continues to perpetuate the leftist mantra of defeat. In my eyes the Iraq war is over and a police action is taking place. If we treat the current occupation like a war, it will make it increasingly impossible to declare victory for years to come or maybe never . We are unnecessarily painting ourselves into a samantical corner.

By the "Iraq standard" we are also losing the war in Pakistan, the war in england, the war in Indonesia, Spain, Afghanistan etc , all because terrorists continue to kill innocent people.

It has become clear to me that for many years we will be finding and fighting radical terrorists...That doesn't mean we are losing, it just means we are fighting!

You win this war by continuing to fight it. There will not be a treaty at the end, there will not be a surrender, The war is won on a daily basis.

If we are resigned to oppose terror, we are winning. If we allow terror to be used as a political tool or make excuses for it we are losing. It's that simple! We need to Call this thing for what it is.... A perpetual series of battles and test of the will of all civilized people.

If you agree please help to correct this mis -charcterization of THE WAR ON TERROR

Is the RNC letting The Dems Win?

The Only Silver lining i see in the ugly black cloud of a november Dem victory, is that everyone will see their true agenda for the next 2 years , just in time to destroy their 2008  presidential chances......... But you very rarely win by losing! Just a thought....

November surprise !!!

As we all know by now, the midterm elections are all but wrapped up by the Dems, The evangelical right is tuning out, the Foley scandal has changed the equation, Right?

This is utter nonsense, there are clearly enough votes out there to pull this thing off, unfortunately these are Local races and nationalizing it yields only part of the victory. But for the moment let's focus on that part, since we can set the tone in that arena. THE KEY IS TURNOUT, don't lose sight of this important fact. This may sound simplistic but one way to energize the conservative base is to remind them about JUSTICE STEVENS AND HIS IMPENDING RETIREMENT. this may be the last chance to correct the balance of the supreme court for decades to come. A republican congress = better judicial decisions for 30 yrs or more. This is not the be all, end all, but will definitely be a catalyst for involving the Base of the party. If turnout is better than expected we will have a really sweet November surprise!

                                                                   yours truly Redmeat and cigarettes

Please forward this to the RNC

BUSH TO THANK RUMMY AND APPOINT McCAIN

How did you feel when you read that headline????

Like an epiphany it hit me!!!!!!!!!

I have generally supported Rummy but,

This week, "with pomp and circumstance" , The president should thank Donald Rumsfeld for his Patriotic service to his country ( before some Democrat calls for his resignation again ), and then promptly announce that John McCain will accept the job of secretary of defense,

I'm telling you this will be a humongous news story and will be well received by the media...and McCain is very strong and clear on National security. The military is already prohibited from the coercive interrogation. So he should be able to do the job with a clean conscience.  Fresh ideas and maybe a fresh new enthusiasm for our current struggle in Iraq and the other battles in the war on terror.

If you like this idea please forward it to Karl Rove , your Republican congressman, and the RNC.

A winning political strategy and the right thing to do for the fight against terror.
