The Proxy War - A Schoolyard Analogy

Are we Fighting it?
Some of us have been concerned about The proxy war with Iran for a while now. How many more hoops are there to jump through, before we do what some Americans are reluctant at this point to even think seriously about. Tactical governmental decapitation.

Just as an excersise, let's play out this senario.

If you and your friends were in a fight with some little guys, because they have been smacking innocent people with sticks ,during the fight, some big guy off to the side was smacking you with a stick, and even looking for a bigger stick.

Would you ignore the big guy? Remember that the big guy provides sticks to the little guys, who proceed to smack people who are watching the fight. The big guy claim's he's the victim.

All the while other strong on-lookers have made deals with the big guy and will never stop him. Some of your friends even stick up for him.....

You already  have the same big stick that he is looking for but are reluctant to use it, for good reason, this stick will paralyze him,  and your concerned about what your weaker friends might say , he continues to beat you from afar while you're fighting the little guys...... some of your own friends call you the bully.

Do you back out of the fight ?

Do you continue and ignore the big guy?

Do you turn to the big guy and warn him?

Do you try to understand him?

Do you make a deal with him like the other strong guys?

Do you reconsider your position on the little guys?

Do you smack him with your big stick?

What would you do?
