To Rush, Hannity, Ingraham and all conservatives.....
Just like you I've been complaining and feeling the pain of the McCain nomination but...........
This is the worst time to be a blind idealist, ( that's what liberals do) lick your wounds and buck up. The supreme court is the major prize over the next 4 years.....there WILL be a few vacancies on the court soon. Obama and Clinton would be disastrous!
The way that a conservative deals with problems and situations is simple.... We look at our options with a sober eye and formulate a way forward. We don't curse the darkness, we don't spend our resources wishing or hoping, we don't live in the past and we certainly don't disengage and take our toys home.
This is what we do at work... We do it at home with our family and your budget... and we do it when it comes to serving our community and our nation. The current situation we find ourselves in , is not an opportunity to blame someone and point scolding fingers.
The McCain candidacy is on our plate....We have to take this reality and go forward with it. It doesn't mean you throw away any of your principals, it just means you make the most out of what cards you have been dealt. As a conservative you have advocated this approach in your own life and we always recommended it to others in our society.. so suck it up and make the best of it, not sabotage it.
We have made it clear where we stand in relation to McCain and we will have many opportunities to do so in the future. Now is the time to choose sides. We will still be exactly who we were yesterday but only with a new set of circumstances. Stop the whining and let's get to work and prepare to win in November. If you want to teach someone a lesson on conservatism.... do it to President McCain and not President Obama or Clinton.
