John McCain's campaign is analogous to a man on "a platform on top of a ball" with most of his supporters in the middle, he's trying to add people to both the left and right side..... The more he pays attention to the left the more he must worry about the right.... The more the righties move to the right edge( by complaining), the easier it becomes to attract people to the left side... The calculation he must make is how far left can he move before he tilts so much that the righties want to jump off.. My feeling is that most righties will not jump off, because there is nowhere to jump. The lefties however could jump left, and land on the far right side of Obama's platform which is loaded with "bitter working class Clinton supporters" who are looking toward the left side of McCain's platform. In fact this analogy works for all presidential campaigns. By the way Obama's Platform is leaning dangerously to the left, so he'll obviously be trying to keep people on his right side. look for this in the coming days. Remember it's all about the jumpers!!!
