PALIN :THE RISE OF THE COMMON MAN

The criticism of Palin is the criticism of you....
The Same attacks leveled at Palin would be the same attacks used on any American who went to the wrong schools,  lived and worked in the wrong towns,  had a normal family with patriotism, a working class lifestyle, and the humility that comes with a culture of faith. These elitist reflexes are not  isolated to the Dems and the media....I couldn't help but to wonder how those entrenched Republican career politicians felt when she took aim at them. Make no mistake...she did! There are plenty of Ivy league elitists on both sides of the aisle. We have all seen and heard them as they make confident assertions about working class people. To many of them, education and bloodlines trumps ideas, intelligence, common sense and honor.  ... Keep your eyes open, not only to Liberals and their attacks, but watch carefully for ivory tower republicans who will patronize, and think she's just a fluke or a convenient political fortune. They are just as stunned at Palin's success as some Dems......and they are also on her radar. Her world seems to be based on character and fairness. In a political world where so many other things decide success, it is refreshing to know that the common man or woman can still rise to greatness. Her success is a success of the middle class...unfortunately, the same is true if she fails.

RACE AND GENDER POLITICS: THE BIG LIE

I think some of us have always instinctively felt that Race and gender politics were disingenuous at best. It was during the nomination of Justice Thomas that this realization crystalized for me. I had always been led to believe that Blacks were truly fighting hard for the advancement of black leaders. There he was , a brilliant, principled, and Black as could be with the chance of a lifetime appointment to the highest court in the land. They wanted nothing to do with him. in fact he was demonized.

I didn't fully learn the lesson at that time. I still had to experience another form of hypocrisy, this time from the womens movement. It was during The Clinton impeachment process. The womens rights groups were completely silent about this womanizing President. One true story after another about groping , affairs and unwanted sexual advances...I was stunned at N.O.W's apathy on the subject.

Now the lesson was complete...Race is about culture and politics...Womens rights is about politics  and social engineering. I personally  have always been intellectually uncomfortable skin color determining anything inherently. I don't however feel the same applies to the differences between men and woman. There are differences but they are based on thousands of years of our roles in creating successful families and survival.. but I digress.... The point is that democrat blacks are not interested in being proud of Colin powell, Condy Rice, or Michael Steele. It about politics and the culture of blame and victimhood.....Woman's rights groups are also about the culture of victimhood, and politics, Sara Palin's existence and the reaction to her, is stark proof that women's rights movement has been lying to the American people for many years. The same can be said about the advancement of blacks in America.
