Let me start by saying that I am not asking anyone to do what I'm going to do, that being said.... I will be trying my darndest to give President elect Obama a chance to redeem himself from what I saw during the campaign. I'm referring to the lack of candor, empty platitudes and disrespect for the traditions of our nation. My leash is very short. My eyes are wide open......I guess I'm old fashion about respect for the office. As much as it pains me, a brief political cease fire is a reasonable way to proceed. I know some of you won't agree and I'll probably be back on the attack within short order, but I have to attempt to give him a chance to do the right thing. I suggest that all conservatives proceed in a thoughtful and intelligent way. Make no mistake , if you become unhinged you will hurt us. Maybe take a break for a week or 2.
 Even Rush limbaugh takes a vacation once in a while.

Come on independents, do your nation a favor and vote for McCain. Undecides, let's vote for a stable America. In an unstable time we need grownups running our domestic and foreign affairs. You are all known for your level heads, please make a rational decision when you go into the voting booth. Your nation is calling...calling for your common sense and measured reason. When you think "choice " think "safe". Let's avoid a generated crisis, you may be saving American lives. Thanks, Redmeat

" The Virtue of Selfishness" Dems and Charity

Obama calls resistance to socialism selfish. The truth is that conservatives believe in giving to charity on a voluntary basis. Apparently, this is supported by recent studies that show conservatives give to charity way more than liberals. Forced donations to specific causes is socialism...not to mention a provably less efficient way of helping anyone in need. Earlier in the history of our nation , people addressed the needs of their neighbors and family without the help of government. The local churches also played a large role in charity. This burden has been shifted from interested parties to somewhat disinterested parties....just another chapter in the book of liberal short-sightedness. Another nasty result of this forced compassion is the ever increasing culture of dependence.When your neighbor helps you, you are reluctant to take advantage of them, theres a built in shame factor... when government helps, it is easier to disconnect morally from the benefactor. Obama's lack of wisdom is indeed dangerous. If he wins , it's one large step backward  for selfdetirmination .... one giant leap for government dependence.

One 50/50 Nation Under Obama, with liberty and justice for none....

Anyone who likes the constitution and the free market will be getting the shaft if Obama's numbers hold up. The other 50% is an interesting coalition of strange bedfellows. This coalition basically consists of blacks and other minorities.......union zombies.......and social liberals( a subset coalition of cultural secularists). They only all have one common interest....A strong disdain for the success of business and the tendency to weaken capitalism. The secularist can't succeed without the other 2 legs of the stool........The minorities and unions are subservient to the secularist ,who is their benefactor. The Cultural and faith traditions of minorities and union guys are not served by the secularist, but the driving force here is money not culture. When someone gives you money or helps you get more money, it's almost impossible to break that bond.
     Using an analogy from the natural world,......this is a classic Parasite/ host scenario with one distiction. The host , in this case, has to steal from an entirely different party to sustain it's own parasites.
