The legacy of the sacrifice of Soldiers on D-day was not for Europe to live in comfort and luxury or fight global warming, It was for the people of Europe to perpetually commit their lives to the same exact cause of human courage and sacrifice that made Our victory in Europe possible.
We did not defeat evil in Europe that day, It was 1 battle in an everlasting war against all forms of tyranny. This battle continues forever.
Today requires the same unbending marriage to the universal principles of Liberty as yesterday. The best way to honor the heroes of D-day is to continue their war with the same sacrifice if necessary.
Today Our president and the 4 other leaders tried to equate humanitarian causes to this amazing military victory...The causes of ending hunger and disease are honorable causes for those of great hearts, but make no mistake...D-day was a military victory........One that required an ultimate sacrifice. It transcends normal human kindness and shouln't be treated the same as the 4 leaders did in their speeches today
Although we are living in the world their courage bestowed on us, we are also called to to join this continuum of the highest form of human compassion.
